I have been reading a book about this problem, but I first learned of it before I found the book. Surprisingly enough, the man who wrote the book has not really fastened onto the subject of weight gain. The seminar I mentioned in the last post was all about the belly fat that is predominant in the majority of people with adrenal problems. Most of those folks are women, too. Men have their own set of problems and they have to do with the liver, more often than not.

I am listing some of the signs to look for, if you suspect you have issues with your adrenal glands. These are from the seminar. I haven't finished reading the book yet. When I do, I'll probably add some more things to the list.

Fatigue,Insomnia,Red Cheeks,Anxiety,, Asthma, Weak or Brittle Bones, Moon Face, Pendulous Abdomen,Acne, High Blood Pressure, Salt, Cheese,Chocolate & Sugar Cravings, (late afternoon and evenings), Needs Coffee to Wake Up, Dark Circles Around Eyes, Inflammation or Pain, (Joints, back,neck), Heel Spurs, Fibromyalgia, Difficulty Absorbing Calcium, Over-reactive Immune System,(allergies,chemical sensitivities), Autoimmune Conditions,Moodiness and Irritability, Brain Fog,Buffalo Hump (fat pad) at the upper back, lower neck area.

When I first started paying attention to the information I was receiving about adrenal fatigue, I was amazed at how many of the symptoms I had. It isn't that all of these things are caused by adrenal problems, but they can contribute to the overall health of a person. You don't need to have all of the symptoms, either. Pick a half dozen and own them, any relief would be a blessing! I had never even heard of "Fuzzy Brain", but the minute I heard that term, I instantly knew what was meant by it. Concentration has been a major effort on my part for a long time. Formerly a person who could tackle almost any assignment in an orderly manner, I have found myself using a very scatter-gun sort of method to everything in my life in the last ten years. I could never put my finger on the difference until I heard that term.
