It's been almost 2 months since I figured some of this adrenal fatigue stuff out. The more I know, the more I feel like this was my problem all along. The thing is, I still don't deem to be able to put any closure on any of my bad habits. Maybe that's because they are habits. Staying up too late, eating the wrong things and many other things that could be altered just seem to be hanging on. At first, I was very careful about what I was eating, then a vacation, some inattention and I'm back to my original poor habits. I have cut way, way down on sugar, and that is key. The more sugar I eat, the more my joints hurt. Funny, I never put that together before. I've always, always been a sugar-aholic. This may take some doing, but as I said, I've cut way down on consumption. Caffeine, too. Hell, I used to own an espresso bar. I can go for days without any coffee now, but sometimes I do have a cup. One trick I found is to use very teeny, tiny cups. I used to let it get cold, anyway, so these little cups are better all around. Anyway, I have an appointment with a "straight" doctor next week. By that, I mean a main stream practitioner. Most of the folks I see with information about this on the Internet are alternative doctors. I'm on board with that but they cost more, due to the "no insurance" factor. I guess I won't be able to just wake up one day and be "cured". It may take a long time to return to my former health.
