I got to wondering today whether or not people who smoke pot have the same problems with stress that others do. I can't think of anyone I know who smokes pot who seems to be as stressed as the rest of the general public. People in their 40s or 50s probably grew up in an atmosphere of relaxed pot laws and there are lots of them who still smoke it. I did when I was younger but quit when I thought I had "grown up". Was that the beginning of a lifelong problem with handling stress? And could something like that help now? It's a thought. My problem is, though it would relax me, I still remember the overwhelming, all consuming feeling of the "munchies". That would probably overcome any benefit I might get from not having stress. While now I am too big due to the effects of bad adrenal problems, I could just relax my way into bigger and bigger sizes due to eating large jars of peanut butter and anything else I could find in the cuboard. It is sort of odd that it is never mentioned in all this literature I've been reading. It is acknowledged to help cancer patients, why not the over stressed of the world? It's a thought.
