Don't Miss Dark Roasted Blend

One of the blogs that I link to, (over there on the left side) is Dark Roasted Blend. It is a great site for wasting time. They compile photos and bits and pieces of all kinds of things that fascinate and charm and sometimes gross you out! Really, you have to have some extra time to enjoy it as there are so many things to see, on any given day. On the left side of the blog there are specific links to popular sections, accumulated over the years. Like the one where there are dozens of pics of the weird way the world is wired. Sometimes I don't get a chance to look in on Dark Roasted Blend for awhile but when I check back in, I remember why I linked to it in the first place. Quality entertainment.

WOW! The Talk of the Blog World

I'm a believer, that's for sure! Cheru Jackson has started a revolution in the Blog-o-sphere! I have been working on this blog for many years now and overnight, the numbers I am getting because of

www.alphainventions.com  are making it a huge success! He claims to be "a regular working guy with an apartment" but I'll be willing to bet he is in the running for "Man of the Year" later in 2009! Of course, if I am getting these fabulous numbers, what in the world are www.cuteoverload.com or http://www.cynical-c.com/ going to do with all the hits they are getting? I'll have to see the sitemeter report to know if anyone stayed around for more than a quick look see. This is kind of like advertising. You can get hits from alphainventions, just like a yellow page ad gets you calls. From that point on, it is up to you to have a great site, (or store or service, in the case of your yellow page ad). He can lead them to you but it's your ball game after that! I hope Cheru figured out a way to make some money on this. Maybe he should just put a tip jar on his site?

Aggregates rate high in Blog-ville

There was an article in the Daily Star yesterday about Tucson bloggers. Somehow, they missed me! Imagine my chagrin. Ah, well, it seems a hard thing to do to stand out in the world of blogs. One of the guys they talk about, John Walkenbach, has been blogging for a long time. His blog is

J-walkblog.com and he says he is getting 10,000 hits a day. Well, more power to him in that case. I have worked for people, selling ads on the internet, and the hardest part of that job is proving how many hits you get. Of course, the guy doesn't have to prove anything to me, all I'm saying is, that's a lot of hits. His blog seems to take news stories and re-report them. Maybe I need to try some of that, instead of making fun of the news items I see.  Some of my favorite blogs, Miss Cellania, Nothing to Do With Arbroath, and Cynical-C Blog take items and gather them together for us to read. There is always something interesting on these blogs. I call them "aggregates" but I'm not sure that is the actual term for them. I may be guilty of putting too many photos up, animals and flowers. Friday Catblogging isn't exactly one of my most popular posts. Ooh, that reminds me, gotta go take a picture!
