Nasty emails about Obama

One of my relatives sent me a nasty email about Obama today. I thought I told them not to do that, but sadly, they just don't seem to get it!  Well, these two photos, taken from Cynical C Blog show the real story:

Joan Baez, Tucson 10/20/06

I just got back from one of the best musical events that I have been to in a long while. Joan Baez at the Fox Theatre in Tucson. All I can say is, Wow! She's probably better than she ever was, her voice as true and strong as when she was young. She looks great, too. Most of the songs were old ones, many had protests within them. Of course she sang "Diamonds and Rust", one of my very favorite songs of all time. She played her guitar, stood solo on the stage and just let it all out. Beautiful! Every time she sang or said something about wars, troops or conflicts the whole audience went crazy. I guess we know where her fans land on a political map! It was sold out at the Fox; what a great place for such a performance. Joan Baez still rocks and I'm glad I got to see her tonight.

Bad programs

I was going to write a nice little post for tonight but there was an evil program trying to insinuate itself into my life and I've been trying to get rid of it for awhile. It was a crafty little dude. It's gone now, so keep your fingers crossed that it wasn't too evil, otherwise it'll take longer than one evening to expunge it. On the lighter side, it was only 99 degrees when I was driving home tonight. Balmy! Oh, and here is the latest cactus in bloom from my new backyard!(Click for a bigger view.)
